This new Club website will hopefully keep you up to date with the day to day running of Rossvale, and as you can appreciate it takes a lot now with the Club having 27 teams playing every week from the age of five up to open age amateurs. We have an excellent group of 80 plus coaches working for the Club, and are very dedicated turning out faithfully two or three times a week to ensure the kids have a safe environment to enjoy themselves.
This has been rewarded recently by, the Scottish Executive and the SFA, awarding the Club a grant of £100,000 towards building a new third generation astroturf pitch at Huntershill Playing Fields in Bishopbriggs. We have been working closely with East Dunbartonshire Council to bring this to fruition and hope to have it in place by the start of next season.
With this we will have more games being on, and will be able to train on a quality surface all year round, which we know will be beneficial to the players. With the new surface being laid on an old unused red blasé pitch, this will mean that there will be the opportunity to make the Club bigger by giving the opportunity of more games over the weekend at Huntershill.
Whilst a substantial amount of capital is in place for the pitch, we are trying to raise further funds to fully develop this facility and have set up a committee to help progress this. If you wish to find out more about the committee or the development please get in touch with me Ian Grey, through the Club website.
