Rossvale Soccer Academy

Welcome to Rossvale’s Soccer Academy.

We were formed to provide first class coaching for both boys and girls between the ages of four to seven .Beyond this; the youngsters have the opportunity to progress their football skills through the teams Soccer Sevens.

The Soccer Academy takes place on a Tuesday night in Kirkintilloch Sport Centre between 6.30pm  until 8.30pm( times dependent on youngsters age), and also on a Sunday at Petershill Football Complex between 10.00.am until 12.00pm.

The aims of Rossvale Academy are to teach the players the fundamentals of football and train them with essential / basic skills which they will need to become the next Ronaldo!!! Through positive praise and encouragement we want to support the children develop team skills; leadership skills; communication skills and ultimately to have fun!! We believe that all our players have something to offer, and we hope to achieve their highest potential possible through the joys of the good game.

The Academy is staffed by four main coaches: - Lynn, Paul, Patrick and Michael. The help and support of volunteer parents is greatly appreciated and actively encouraged.

Paul Burns: Head Coach
Paul has been with the academy since 2001. He has vast experience of football coaching and splits his energies between Motherwell FC and the Academy.  Paul has gained SFA Children’s certificate level 1-4 and his Youth certificates level 1-3.

Patrick Bonnar: Coach
Patrick has been with the academy since 2006. He has achieved SFA children’s certificates level 1-3. Patrick is also involved as Head Coach with Rossvale’s 2001 team.

Lynn Stewart: Coach, Treasurer
Lynn has been a coach with the Academy since 2007; however she has gained vast experience in football training and management having initially been involved with Rossvale since 2002. She has achieved SFA Children’s certificate level 1-3.and is a trained first aider. 

Michael Davie: Coach
Michael has been with the academy since 2007. He has achieved SFA children’s certificates level 1-3 and is a qualified first aider.

All coaching staff within the Academy is required to have a Disclosure Scotland check.
